New New Trio continues their journey
Two Finns, Smalls Jazz Club in New York City 2018, waiting in a line. What are the odds to meet in these circumstances! From this point of view their started their collaboration.
Sometimes life can guide us to directions we can't foresee. After randomly meeting in a line of Smalls Jazz Club and getting to know each other over a cold beer, they noticed sharing common thoughts in life and art. Three weeks from that, they played their first gig together at Spectrum, Brooklyn NYC.
Drummer Tomi Kämäräinen's and a pianist Tuomo Uusitalo's new project 'New New Trio' plays original music influenced by crossover between Nordic romanticism and inspiring atmosphere of New York, and this Summer and Fall we will have an opportunity to hear them in different venues and countries.
"I remember the exact feeling when I met Tuomo for the very first time. I had the feeling that we've been friends from the childhood or something. We had common thoughts of life and being a musician. After our first playing session I felt that we have to continue this beautiful journey together somehow, said Tomi”
In continuation of the first gig, New New Trio will arrange a tour for the summer and fall 2019. Maybe with some guests?
